Checking the connection, the callback and payments that are still waiting.
What the page shows
- Whether each Safaricom setting is present. The values are never shown.
- Test credentials: asks Safaricom whether the saved key and secret are accepted (people with approval rights).
- The callback address, and whether it is protected by a secret token.
- The paybill or till and the account prefix, which people with approval rights can change.
- Payments awaiting confirmation, and a live feed of M-Pesa payments.
Payments awaiting confirmation
A giver may cancel the prompt or lose signal, so a payment can stay pending. Check with Safaricom asks about each such prompt older than ten minutes. If Safaricom says it was not paid, it is marked failed. A payment is never marked paid by this check.
Setting up
The Safaricom credentials are set by the system administrator in the hosting environment, not on this page. Ask the administrator if a setting shows as missing.
