Roles and access
Why you see some modules and not others.
How access works
Each module lists the roles that may open it. Inside a module, the database decides which records your role may read, create or approve, so a screen can open and still show fewer rows than a colleague sees.
- Finance modules are for treasurers, assistant treasurers, finance officers, auditors, PCC members, churchwardens, the vicar and data-entry clerks, each with different rights.
- Approving, voiding and closing a period are limited to the roles allowed to approve.
- Audit and controls are for administrators, auditors, churchwardens and PCC members.
Asking for access
Ask a parish administrator to change your role. Roles are never granted from inside a module.
